Specifying a blower assembly that's exactly matched to your application requirements is a simple six-step process.
Using standard wheels, motors, and Associated Spring blower housings and accessories, you can easily specify and assemble a unit that meets your needs precisely, with optimum cost effectiveness.
All you have to do is follow these six easy steps.
1. Determine Your Output Requirements
Blowers are specified on the basis of how much air they're required to move, defined in terms of Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM), and how much resistance they're required to move against, defined as Static Pressure measured in Inches of Water. Those two factors are determined by your application requirements and are the starting point for the selection process.
2. Select an Appropriate Wheel
Armed with the CFM and Static Pressure requirements of your application, you are ready to select a wheel that will deliver the necessary output. Each wheel manufacturer publishes selection charts that graphically present the relationship between output, RPM and horsepower consumption.
3. Select the Matching Blower Housing
Now, you are ready to utilize our online specifications calculator. Complete dimensions are included for every possible blower housing we carry. Diagrams on that page will help to show you which measurements you have to make for an accurate match. GO THERE NOW
4. Select the Appropriate Housing Accessories
Most applications will require both Inlet Flanges and Cover Plates. If you utilized the Blower Housing Locater in Step 3, you may now match it with the proper accessories. GO THERE NOW
5. Select the Motor that will be Used With Your Blower
Using the horsepower and RPM requirements obtained from your wheel manufacturers selection chart, and the shaft length and diameter from the previous steps, consult a motor catalog to find an appropriate unit.
